How to Respond to God’s call is the next important thing to know or to do after you have confirmed His call upon your life. In this article, I write about the proper way to respond to God’s call upon your life. I pray this will be a blessing to your life and ministry.
1. Obey Immediately

When you receive a call from God into ministry, respond to God’s call with prompt obedience, trusting in His timing and wisdom. Don’t be too analytical, when have confirmed its God, move.
And he said to them, ‘Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.’ Immediately they left their nets and followed Him.” (Matthew 4:19-20)
2. Pray for Strength and Guidance

Seek God’s strength and guidance in prayer as you step into His calling. God is the one who has called you and he knows whats its ahead. Therefore seeking His guidance will help you navigate through well and confidently.
But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. – Isaiah 40:31
3. Trust in God’s Provision

Have faith that God will provide everything you need to fulfill His calling. One thing you need to understand is this; God will never send you without providing what you need for the call. Have faith in Him. And he will provide.
And my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. – (Philippians 4:19)
4. Prepare Yourself Spiritually

Engage in spiritual disciplines such as reading the Bible, prayer, and fasting to prepare your soul, spirit, and body.
Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.- (2 Timothy 2:15)
5. Seek Support from the Faith Community

Surround yourself with a supportive community of believers who can encourage and help you in the calling you have received from God.
And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another. (Hebrews 10:24-25)
6. Be Willing to Sacrifice

Be prepared to make sacrifices and let go of personal desires to follow God’s will. Without a mindset of this fulfilling your ministry will be a difficult task.
Then Jesus said to His disciples, ‘If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. (Matthew 16:24)
7. Act with Courage

Step out in faith and courage, knowing that God is with you.
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. (Joshua 1:9)
8. Remain Humble and Teachable

Maintain a humble and teachable spirit, open to learning and growth.
Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up. – (James 4:10)
9. Serve Others Faithfully

Use your calling to serve others and advance God’s Kingdom. Remember your calling is not for your services but for God’s kingdom on earth.
As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. – (1 Peter 4:10)
10. Persist Despite Challenges

Stay committed to your calling even when facing difficulties and opposition.
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord. (1 Corinthians 15:58)
I pray for you that the Lord Jesus will help you in your journey, in the name of Jesus.
